FAQs | Ski School Zell am See
Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions!
Is the equipment included in the ski school prices?
No. The sports equipment must be rented or purchased independently of the ski school.
The SKI / SNOWBOARD EQUIPMENT is only included in our ALL in ONE PACKAGES!
Do beginners also need a ski pass?
Basically yes. Beginners do not need a ski pass for the first one or two days at our AreitXpress and TrassXpress stations. At the CityXpress station, a ski pass is already required on the first day of the course as the practice area is at the top station of the CityXpress gondola!
The instructor will advise you – depending on your learning progress – on the purchase of a ski pass. There are also special beginner tickets for the practice lifts which are much cheaper.
Is the ski pass included in the course price?
The ski pass is not included in the course price! Info and prices for ski passes can be found at: www.schmitten.at
Do I need to book in advance for group courses?
We generally recommend booking through our webshop. The earlier the better! This brings you a lot of advantages! There is usually always space in the group courses. In the holiday periods, however, we cannot guarantee that there will be free places on site without online booking.
Do the ski course days have to be on consecutive days?
In principle, it makes sense to redeem the days consecutively, as the learning program builds on each day. Skipping a day could make it difficult for participants, both children and adults, to keep up with the rest of the group, potentially requiring a change to a different group.
Do I have to book a 5-day course directly?
In terms of price, our 5-day course is the most affordable option. If you’re unsure whether your child (from 4 years old) will enjoy skiing, you can initially book fewer days. If everything goes well, you can easily rebook additional days at our office!
In which languages are the courses offered?
Group lessons are generally held in German or English. Other languages, such as Dutch, Danish, etc., are available upon request but cannot be guaranteed.
Is it possible to join a course during the week?
Beginners’ courses start on Sunday and Monday (other days available upon request). Intermediate and advanced children can join courses from Sunday to Thursday. Intermediate and advanced adults can join from Monday to Thursday. There are no group courses on Fridays and Saturdays.
What happens in the event of an accident?
Course cards are personal and non-transferable. Redeemed course tickets will be refunded on a pro rata basis. The Zell am See Ski School accepts no liability for any accidents.
What if my child is unwell or injured during the ski course?
The telephone number of a parent should be noted on the course card, so we can contact you if necessary. It is important that you are reachable on your mobile phone!
Can our children be in a group together?
We will try our best!
